Misdirection on Abortion

Not entirely. Health issues that arise during early days of pregnancy that would mean the pregnancy would not be viable occur all the time like a bursted amniotic sac, separation of the placenta. These issues mean the pregnancy will not result in a viable birth and keeping the foetus in will result in health issues for the mother like toxic shock from the placenta. The foetus is still growing but it will die in a few days. Abortion is medical solution to these issues.

But when abortion isn’t readily available, issues like this that are actually extremely common will not be easily accessible to those who need emergency care and this has happened before. Malta has a complete ban on abortion no matter what. And I mean no matter. An American couple who were visiting Malta were expecting and unfortunately suffered a ruptured amniotic sac and the north was no longer viable. They had to be dropped in Spain to get an abortion.

This isn’t crazy or one in a million, this has happened to many women I know who have struggled to get pregnancy.
