Misinformation around "No religion" on the census

I'm an atheist, but I'm open to the idea that deities might exist. For example, if it was someone proven to me with evidence, I'd be crazy not to believe. But until that happens, I'm an atheist.

That's fine, I respect this. I just don't consider myself atheist. I look at religion more from an anthropological point of view rather than a spiritual one. Is the Christian Jehovah just a cultural evolution of the Roman God Jupiter? and are they themselves related to Zeus or Odin? Or Mazda? If we go back far enough are these deities just ancestors of some forgotten tribe that was the hero of some long forgotten story or verbal tale? Is "god" a life force similar to that of the Force in Star Wars? or is it a natural phenomena somehow linked to every other living thing on earth? Speak to anyone who has done Ayuhasca or DMT and they'll tell you some crazy shit that is out of this world.

So I cannot honestly call myself Atheist because I just do not "know" that I am without a god or gods and I do not think the human psyche is capable of grasping the concept even if it were presented to us.
