I miss Hero League

That’s been fine with me because the diamond games were historically fun. People knew how to play the game. Not anymore. The most frustrating thing for me while playing this game is feeling like I have to educate folks on really basic strategy.

A general low grasp on fairly basic MOBA/HotS game concept by a huge amount of the playerbase has been something people have noted about HotS for a long time (like, people have talked about it since closed beta/preseason). Even today I'm regularly having to explain soaking, value and rotating to players who who are well over 1000 levels (not that it wasn't an issue before).

It's mind-boggling to me that I've played with people who have 2400 games on their main hero and still try to waste an entire game-winning curse by getting a boss, or players who Gold/Plat who just don't understand how to rotate effectively or get ganked because they just stroll about on the red side of the map.

In terms of game knowledge, I feel like Bronze/Silver/Gold are basically the exact same, and I don't feel like I can even trust my team to recognise the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy comp before Plat/Diamond.
