I miss the "What Do Jihadists Really Want?" style of Sam's podcast

Unless you are in a career where privacy is required to stay alive and out of prison (journalist, drug dealer, etc) or you are in the public eye I don't think that total privacy is essential, especially since the amount of energy needed to cover all your digital tracks is pretty high for day to day stuff.

On the other hand, while I actually kind of like radical honesty in personal relationships, the fact is that there are are still plenty of unethical actors out there who would love for you to have as any personal details out there as possible so that they can exploit you.

The digital world is different than the IRL world because people are more likely to push ethical boundaries if they don't know you in person. Online bullying, for example, leads to more suicide than IRL bullying because there's nothing stopping the bullies from pushing things further.
