I miss 'Xbox On'

As someone who committed to the XB1 platform at launch specifically for the promise of a capable home entertainment machine, this is the last straw.

The XB1 has lost the living room. Really, the only thing I used it for was to turn the fucking TV on and off and play an occasional game. It was essentially my streaming box and harmony remote. Since then, I've had to go with an N'Vidia Shield as my streaming box, OneGuide isn't good enough, but Google's solution is..... so I had to go invest in the Harmony Remote, I put up with the fucking Kinect, rather than a sensible, small Microphone.... but MS killed that too.... and now they change the way I turn shit on and off - which hasn't worked very well for the last six months anyway.... and they wonder why PS4 is killing it.... MS isn't even executing on the things they promised that gave them a competitive advantage.

I like the XB1 as a gaming platform.... but they botched that too. This one is sort of the last straw. After being committed to the platform since the day the original XB launched, I'm not essentially agnostic... no more MS loyalty from me on this front.

I was just doing some tallying.... big family.... I've purchased sixteen.... and it might be seventeen XB consoles in the three generations and practidcally countless games. I wish MS could just make up their fucking minds.... no need to disrupt what should be an appliance... there is no justification for making me call my fucking remote control by some name.... instead, just make the existing fucking voice commands optional.... and why you're at it, make them fucking work. They're broken, and have been for six months.
