The most recent FBI uniform crime report notes 454 people were killed by rifles last year. Not just ARs, all rifles.

203 by shotgun.

1,732 were killed by knives. So vastly more people were killed by knives than shotguns and ALL rifles combined.

Also civilian ARs are not automatic (have had to have that discussion before).

Most people who wants to ban guns know nothing about them, or why. Just black gun scary bad assault.

Unlike the discussion surrounding abortion. No body cares about wanting to control you, the men and women against it usually just think it’s killing a literal baby, which is much harder discussion to have than scream oppression.
