Mission impossible

... 200k a year is a lot more than 40k a year dude. Did you actually read the post? Its like 5 times more than what. It's supposed to prove how much more difficult it is to buy just about anything or actually sustain yourself in this economy. Like it takes you 5 times longer to make the same amount of money (as valued by society, not in a numerical sense) and gee SOMEHOW people can't feed themselves. I wonder why? He even said he'd have to make 200k to buy the same house in the same time.

The BEST paying job in america is a physician which has a mean of 180k. The BEST PAYING JOB in america still falls short of what a fucking fireman could afford back then. That's ludicrous, even more so to expect people to be able to just "work harder" to get out of poverty. Like "gee let's just go and become the best physician in the world just so i can be able to have a little financial stability". Does that sound like a reasonable thing to tell people in poverty?

Its called pulling yourself up by the bootstraps because it's impossible to do. And It's become the expectation.
