I don't get that from McConnell. He's not an ideologue or a small government crusader. He's not even a money-sucking grifter. He never gives speeches or writes books. He called the Patriot Act the most important legislation in a generation. He championed TARP and Medicare Part D.

Political stunts are his only real passion. When in a minority he stages protests, drags out debate, tries to kill votes and kicks the shins of the majority for every inch of extra room; when in the majority he shuts down protest, quashes debate, rams through votes and wildly punishes the slightest nudge from the minority. McConnell tried to create disunity among Democrats by proposing a ridiculous bill he assumed they'd table and when the Dems called his bluff and moved it to vote he filibustered it. He filibustered his own bill.

When Mitch McConnell goes home he kisses his wife goodnight, strips naked, crawls in the space under the bed and falls asleep whispering to the happy face tattooed on the tip of his penis. He's not like the other Republicans.
