Mitch McConnell votes against interracial marriage despite Asian wife

Arent married individuals entitled to specific government benefits? It kind of destroys the concept of marriage both legally and spirituality if its primary is legislated into being a tax haven.

Regardless, this is about the structure of the argument Im making. Think of it from a different perspective. If the government wants to lower the age of marriage to 14, should every state then have to allow 14 year olds to be married? In a different sense, if one single state wanted marriage to be 14, should other states be allowed to say that marriage isnt valid on their particular state?

Its pretty easy to agree with federal law, but only if you specifically support that law. Just look at marijuana. So many democrats immediately become states rights advocates because its convenient to their specfic desires in that situation.
