Miyamoto has never been more right

It all really comes down to threecamps.

You believe the Devs are working on it constantly to the best of their ability, and that they are acting in good faith to deliver the best product they can in as timely a manner as possible, but you understand that there's only so much they can do at one time. You aren't worried about it.

You believe the Devs are a bit in over their heads, and as a result, development is far too slow, and due to some poor decision making on their part, the game is going to come out in 2018 0r 2019. You don't believe they abandoned it, but you don't trust their practices or competency, as such, you've lost interest and feel sour.

You think the Devs don't give a fuck, and that Dean ran off with a huge pay day, and that the Devs are squandering your investment daily, with no intention of delivering the promised product, and will eventually give up and just release the assets to the community so Modders can finish the game, but you want a full refund, because fuck them.

These seem to be the most vocal arguments surrounding this community, especially here, with some variations and nuances in between. How you feel largely seems to depend on temperament and your own personal understanding of game development.

Option 3 is ridiculous, and while I don't agree with Option 2, it's not wholly unreasonable. Personally, I fall into Option 1.
