MJ - who is he? Demon or na?

I am going to highlight the positive thing he did for music. MTV at the time didn't play any black artist. MJ's manager said he will pull all of the other artist if he doesn't get a spot. This even got other Pop artist like David Bowie to give MTV pressure. After MTV fell in to the pressure they slowly started adding more black musicians.

The impact he made for hip hop was also important. Hip hop was created as a way of entertaining block parties. There was a dude standing with crate full of their parents records and another with a mic telling people to enjoy the party. (Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff from Fresh Prince is the most well know example of these roots that made music with this technique)

Jackson 5 was sampled throughout hip hop's history. Weather it Biggie taking the chorus of a track or Kanye taking chords for Jay Z.

You can't deny the influence MJ and the label they were apart of called Motown impact on Hip-Hop history.
