I left this comment on a picture from r/art that got me banned:

"I respect your technique, but I am SO tired of seeing this sub filled with naked women, most which are posed seductively or missing heads. As a woman it feels so shitty to see us objectified over and over. As an artist, it's tiring and boring.

I don't want to smear your work, and I am definitely not doing that, as I know the effort and skill that goes into it. This is just an observation about this subreddit as a whole"

Hi there,

I was quite shocked to see that I was banned from r/Art for just a comment calling into question the frequent objectification of women, a comment that was repeated by others on the site. I didn't criticize the artist, but just highlighted a common trend. This comment did not break the rules. I often post to r/Art so this is disappointing. Would you be able to explain why I received this ban, or if there is something I can do to join again?

Thanks!

L

Mod: " It's not 'frequent'. Actually it's fairly rare. But what is common is that every post with any amount of nudity gets dogpiled with comments like yours suppressing the subject matter, while ignoring literally -- not figuratively, this is an actual statistic -- 90% of the art that's actually here.

We consider that censorship that has no place here, as we clearly state in the rules. Criticize this work of art all you like, but once you engage in that other noise you're no longer welcome.

Is there something you can do to join again? I dunno. Perhaps in the rules which you didn't bother to read there's something. Take a month to consider the quandary."

Then i was muted. I'm still annoyed how rude they were
