[Mod-Post] House Tully & House Tyrell Applications

Why do you want to claim House Tully?

House Tully finds itself in a beautifully difficult situation recovering from the Blackfyre Rebellion. The Blacktrees think they should be LP instead, and are gathering lands and influence to that effect. There are only a few vassals of House Tully that don't have their own powerful vassals as well, forcing them to try to juggle favor with some houses to try to balance the regional power against others. I think this would be a fun and challenging way to play the game, especially with a completely new Lord of Riverrun that has yet to really define himself.

What would you bring to the Claim?

I'm an RP heavy player, so surprise surprise I'd bring a lot of intense RP to the Claim, which is precisely what I think it needs. I like all my PCs to be fleshed out with their own motivations, goals, and flaws that give them unique personalities. A House is not a monolith but an organization, and an organization is a sum of it's component parts.

Furthermore I am in my senior year of college seeking a degree in Political Science and Economics with a focus in International Diplomatic and Trade Relations. A mouth full, I know, but it makes me well suited to a full breadth of understanding concerning the implications of every step in this game and how it's to be handled. This academic knowledge tempered by months of experience playing this game I think makes me an ideal candidate for a House like Tully.

How prepared are you to play the Claim and give it the attention it deserves?

As a current Riverlands player I think I have a good handle on the region's major players and current situation. I have a good rapport with nearly all the current players, have an understanding of what kind of game I think they all want to play, and I am willing to shape my behavior as a ruler to make that more fun an interesting for them. I also have a deep love for the Riverlands and the environment I'd be playing in, as evident in the environmental descriptors in my Good Omens lore series as House Nayland.

That said, I am a college senior, which means if push comes to shove I may need to step away for a day or two in order to write papers, take midterms, and work with my internship. I'm determined to give this claim the respect and attention it deserves though, and I'm interested in putting the effort in.

How prepared are you IC and OOC for a leadership role?

This would be my second stint as an LP, my first being as Greyjoy some months ago. My run there was regrettably cut short by a death in the family, but I'm confident that won't happen twice and I should be able to give more notice if I need to step away from the claim in the future. I think I did a good job as Greyjoy, setting up the Iron Council and putting them on a track of greater integration with the mainland prior to the Rebellion. Furthermore I am also experienced with OOC leadership, currently standing as the Lead Intern where I work managing near to 15 unpaid volunteers and have previous experience as CFO and later President of my college's Political Economy Club. These previous experiences make me uniquely capable for a leadership position in this game.

I may not have time in the next few days to write a Sample Lore, but I will try. It's looking to be a busy weekend for me, and if I can get one in it will be late on Sunday.
