Mod Statement: Our Stance on Cats and Other Animals

I left here for Petfree but NOT because I dislike cats. As I stated in my post on Petfree, I have rescued and kept for their entire lives 5 cats... literally scooped them off of the street. I AM, however, realistic about what it takes to own a pet and was basically attacked for saying so. To assume that people that speak honestly about their own experiences with cats and learn that those experiences arent 1000% positive "hate cats" is absurd. I'm not really sure why it seems like its so difficult for people to understand that. I dont assume everyone here hates dogs. They just dont want to OWN one and on the same token I totally get and have respect for the fact that yes, there are people out there that hate cats.

Okay, I get it now. Dog ruined my day. I'm so so tired of my neighbors big dogs harrassing me It was a huge relief when significant other's dog passed away.
