My opinion is that everyone, really everyone, no matter what kind of human scum they are, have the right to voice their opinion.
We call that freedom of speech.
When I was growing up I was told that freedom of speech is only worth anything if the people that think different from myself have the right to do so.
Silencing people that think differently only creates worse problems instead of actually dealing with those people.
By the way that's the reason the NPD isn't banned in germany yet. Because our government is fully aware if the biggest neonazi Party in germany is banned they'll form in the underground and will cause even more distress than they are already doing.
Anyways, got a little off course here.
Personally it angers me WAY more if someone is trying to hide information (useful or not doesn't even matter) from me than it angers me when a nazi chants racist shit.
Why? I value open speech (and even if it's the freedom of speech of the people I disagree with) more than I do cencorship. Cencorship destroys the possibility of a nation that has the opportunity to form their own opinion and certainly a free media would make our populations alot smarter because way to many people live in a black/white world.
And I might add that I came here to r/europe in the first place because here everyone can post news sources from (almost) everywhere. Also the comment sections used to give a different perspective in heated discussions.
I think this is a good thing because it makes people research for themselves.
But lately the narrative seems to be pretty one sided and that makes me sad.
This is slowly becoming r/worldnews.
