Modern day housewives

I have an acquaintance who was a vet tech and was doing pretty well for herself, until she met her husband. Once she had their fist child she decided she didn't want to work again, and would just be a stay-at-home mom instead and let her husband be their provider. Once their third child was in kindergarten, her husband had had enough of working 100 hours a week to support his family and pay for the housekeeper (because she always complained that she was so busy with the kids that she couldn't be bothered to clean the house or cook a meal, yet she could post a thousand photos on Facebook somehow), so he gave her an ultimatum: go back to work and contribute to the household, or end up divorced.

She fought him at first, until he reasoned with her that with the kids in school all day, there was no reason for her to be a do-nothing housewife, especially since she still wouldn't clean the house or cook a meal.

She now works at Walmart, because she couldn't find a vet that would hire her after being out of work for 8 years.
