A Modest Proposal for Equalizing the Mental Load (NYTimes article)

In honor of father's day since "provider" is typically men's work here we go.

Typically this is considered women's men's work. There's no problem at all with women men doing this work, assuming they're ok with it.

The problem arises when people, typically men women, do not recognize the existence of this category of work, refuse to acknowledge its value, or refuse to chip in when the other partner wants or needs help.

Yo, TRACKING SHIT AND STAYING ON TOP OF WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE IS HARD. At work home we call those people Project Managers stay at home spouses and they are often stressed the fuck out! If your spouse is project managing providing for your life 1) be grateful and says so and 2) if they ask you for a break or look like they need one, chip in.

It's really not that hard. And now all the perpetually aggrieved manbabies girlbabies will arrive to tell me I'm a cuck misogynist or whatever.

Better?
