Modifiers for the Crucible

I disagree with you here. Destiny's "immersion" has been pretty damn unsatisfying, and other than Quality of Life updates, nothing has been done to address the barren plot line or character development. I don't care about the universe because the narrative is too vague and the stakes don't ever feel high. The plot is confusing and my guardian has literally zero personality.

Plus, with the new Spark game mode coming out with The Taken King (where you do frickin' backflips with the orb ball) I think they can swing the game to stop taking itself so seriously all time.

Not to mention they can easily explain away a random modifier playlist as "virtual probability training" or something, to deal with alternate time dimensions or something from the Vex or Oryx. It would align with the rest of the plot-- aka not really making any sense at all.

I think Destiny is in proper need of a fresh experience and I'm surprised Bungie has been so lazy with the use of modifiers in the weekly refreshes. It's such a simple way to make the mundane tasks we have to repeat over and over again a bit more interesting, and allow us some more creative freedom as a player. It would be such a simple way to make more armor and weapons viable as opposed to having a definitive meta in both pvp and pve like we have now.

As it stands Destiny becomes more stale as the weeks trudge on, and it's just sad to watch. As a hardcore player and fan I want Destiny to innovate and explore new gameplay experiences, not just stagnate with recycled content every week that loses its value at an alarming rate.

Sorry for the semi-rant, I just don't agree that implementing a single random modifier playlist for pvp is in any way a negative possibility for the franchise.
