Mods of /r/bestof delete post about Cedars' leak. It was on the frontage of /r/all at the time.

People like to think that Reddit is some bastion of freedom of speech, but Mods actually have the power to edit what gets seen/removed in their subreddits with no one to respond to at all as long as they're not violating reddit rules.

I learned this very suddenly about 2 moths ago when I was banned from /r/gonewild because someone else linked the screen name which i used to cam on chaturbate with. I showed the mods that the chaturbate account had been inactive for some time, and that I had never made any attempts to promote my chaturbate under this reddit account at anytime, but they did not budge in lifting their ban. My SO is convinced that there were other motives for why they chose to ban me, but there was nothing we could do anyway. The mods ignored me and threatened to impose a reddit-wide ban on me for "harassment" simply because I still wanted to know exactly why I was being banned once I presented all the evidence that showed their claims to be insubstantial. It was certainly a power trip on their part, but I eventually stopped caring because I realized I was putting way too much effort into literally arguing to be allowed to post nudes in their porn club for imaginary internet points and and the already fleeting "thrill of it". lol.

Maybe /r/bestof has similar moderators, that for whatever reason didn't like the "look" the Cedar's leak post was giving them. Maybe it's because they're trying to separate themselves from "anti-religious" posts, as was the case for the /r/atheism removal from default. Who knows? But one thing's for sure and it's that Reddit is still just moderated by ordinary people, and it is ordinary for people to have some sort of bias. There's nothing us plebs can do either, as long as they don't technically break any of Reddit's site-wide rules.
