My NMom said the same to me for decades. Ha! But I get the final laugh! I’ve finally realized that I was never actually a bad kid and my children have grown into phenomenal young adults and we are incredibly close and loving. My children are successful in their relationships and have achieved high successes academically and in their careers. I’m NC, but whenever I have a chance to communicate with the flying monkeys that take gossip back to her, I make sure to list all of the awesome things we do and have accomplished together, as a real family. When I think about it, NMom was right in wishing upon me kids like me...’cause we’re alright. Especially since we escaped that dysfunctional family. Thanks for the abuse mom, it’s helped me know exactly how not to raise children and it worked pretty damn well, if I don’t say so myself.
