Moms/Future moms who have significant college debt- what advice will you give your kids when it's time for them to think about college?

I think if you choose to have a kid, their success is extremely dependent on your actions as a parent so it's your responsibility to help them any way you can.

This is exactly how I feel and I wish my parents had thought like this. When we were kids, my parents were still going out clubbing on the weekends and pissing their money away buying brand new cars on credit. By the time I went to school I had nothing and both my parents moved away. One out of state and one out of the country. I had to drop out because I couldn't afford books or food then I lived out of my broke down car and couch surfed for a while since I had nowhere to go. My dad called me a failure lol. Yes Dad, I totally failed myself! And now that I'm doing well of course he wants to take credit for that. To this day my mom still lives with her mom and is still paying off her own student debt. I like to think of myself as financially sterile. I'd love to have a child one day but because of my debt it would be a long time before kids would make sense financially. Thanks mom and dad!
