Mon-Key

He published it on December 2016.

Actually he did publish it in 09 like he claims link

In any case, this is OP's execution of a concept that thousands of designers have already thought about doing and the asshole that commented with a condescending remark is trying to take that away instead of actually offering criticism.

Link to these 1000s of designers who did it and where they published it that predates 09? Also the other guy has no reason to critque anything, he is merely defending his design.

This is not proof of concept, specially if it was posted barely a month apart (now I do not actually know how dribble works but maybe you can change post date like you can any blog)

It could be a day apart or a month apart but the one who has an earlier timeline wins. It's quite simple, that's how it works. No you can't change the server date/time on dribbble because it's out of his control, reason why people post it in multiple places outside of their control, this way people like you don't assume a server time or some such can be edited.

That can drawn different ways actually, the same way that OP's is not even remotely close to the same shape as the other guy.

The core idea of using the bow of the key as the head of the monkey and the rest as the lower half is similar to what the other guy did, not to mention both played on the same idea of mon-key, that's as similar as you can get. You can't rule out the possibility that OP saw that concept already and you can't rule out that this may be coincedence but one way or the other the other guy's design predates this and there's every reason for the other guy to point out the fact he did it earlier on.
