Monday Moan

Some days without football is fine as it gives me an opportunity to do things with no fear of FOMO, allow me to recharge the battery, maybe read some book or watch a new series but man do I really dread the long winter break particularly in Eastern/Central Europe.

The thing is writing previews is also my job so having fewer games to work with increases workload immensely as well. Our bosses really don't care - if some dudes are playing in Burundi and it is the only thing we can write about, we have to. Needless to say, no matter how much effort we put it in, it's practically impossible to give a meaningful insight about such leagues and people even make memes about us. Can't blame them. I'd also probably laugh wildly about a guy who, with a straight face, talks about some Angolan side's defensive woes... Like come on dude, have you ever seen a single minute of their play? But then again, if I published, "HEY FUCKTARDS, THAT'S WHAT THEY PAY ME MONEY FOR, I HAVE NO CHOICE, IT IS NOT MY FAULT THAT THE ENTIRE CONTINENT STOPPED PLAYING FOOTBALL" notice, I'd get fired, so my hands are tied and I just try to embrace memes.
