Sick of seeing all these comments that Son deserves a red simply because he's caused Gomes' injury. Like every challenge and tackle can postentially endanger a player involved in it. And those who are saying he wasn't interested in getting the ball, stop pretending this doesn't happen every game. I am not a fan of these "tactical fouls" either but it's unfortunately part of the game. Besides, there were worse tackles and challenges that happened during this game, but because no one was hurt and sent off, people aren't even botherd about them. The outcome of a challenge should not determine the colour of the card. Son went in with studs down, trying to trip him at most - was it reckless? Yes. Was it a red card offence? No. Most of the time, Gomes would have gotten up, carried on. Son and Gemes themselves comitted these fouls or got fouled like this hundresd of times in their careers.
