Money Personality Test

I tried to answer honestly using my underlying problematic personality when it comes to money (not the personality I developed in response to financial problems that led me to join this subreddit) and I don’t think it was very accurate. It overweighted the areas which are positive and underweighted the negative. I had real problems saving before. I was addicted (and I really mean addicted) to shopping. It was putting me in a very bad place before I got my act together. So to come through that and end up with “blissful” and all the positive points about being a blissful listed first wasn’t very helpful.

I work as a product designer and if this was my product I’d change the content and approach to be a bit more instructive. I was hoping for some concrete steps on what I should and shouldn’t work on and to learn what additional resources are available.

Maybe I’m being a bit harsh, but I don’t think most people would do this quiz for fun like posters to a personal finance subreddit would -you’re all very happy with your results because you’re optimizers and have your financial lives sorted to a tee. I think “normal” people would do this because they want to fix the things that are wrong. It’s not like doing a “are you a type A or B personality” quiz...or at least it shouldn’t be.
