I think we are sort of on the same page then.

One difference we have though is that I do care about how farm animals are treated, just as much as I care about how these lab monkeys and dogs are treated. In many cases they are treated in a very similar way.

It is an emotional standpoint, and I agree that it is not a good argument to shut the entire meat industry down for.

I do think that it is important to bring up the food and diary industry when people get upset about how monkeys and dogs are treated in labs.

Because people who happily eat meat they have no idea where it came from every day, but instantly talk about lynching people who mistreat dogs at labs are IMO completely ignorant.
