Year in school: Rising Senior Country/state of residence: Ohio Schools to which you are applying: All MD Currently ::: University of Arizona, University of Arizona-Phoenix, Ohio State University, UCSD, Loma Linda, USC, University of Southern Carolina-Columbia, University of Southern Carolina-Greenville, Iowa Carver, Creighton, Rush, Wake Forest, UConn, Wisconsin, Tulane, Nevada, Colorado, Tufts, Baylor. Cumulative GPA: 3.90 Science GPA: 3.88 MCAT Scores: BS 12 PS 10 VR 10 Research – Only in the capacity as a volunteer. Last summer I was in a Microsystems Engineering Lab working on a digital tonometer where I focused on fabrication, troubleshooting, and clinical data collection. This summer I am focusing on biomedical image processing using Matlab. Volunteering (clinical) – 155 hours total at a university satellite hospital in the ED and ICU during Soph/Junior Year. Physician shadowing – none Non-clinical volunteering: Through my fraternity I have organized a blood drive and a street adoption. I participate in these and in local community service events, usually ones organized through campus organizations. Extracurricular activities: Fraternity Vice President (>400 hours), Standards Board Justice (>100 hours), Health and Fitness. Employment history: Emergency Medical Scribe beginning this year (>800 hours) Immediate family members in medicine? Nope Specialty of interest: Open minded. Possibly emergency medicine, surgery or radiology. Shadowing experience: Nope. Graduate degrees: Will be graduating with honors in Biomedical Engineering with minors in mathematics and biochemistry. Interest in rural health: Meh.
