Bill Maher wants to be smart first, funny second.

He usually comes across as a jackass - I try to watch his show sometimes but he's so damn smug it's hard to stand hearing him speak. Seems incredibly important to him that his ideas are taken seriously, that doesn't mesh with comedy.

Additionally, he loves to talk about how he sold drugs in college to seem "cool", while it's very apparent he's both ashamed of going to Cornell and snobbishly proud.

Having spent some time at Cornell, he is truly a product of the environment. Out of touch, pablum spewing, and holier than thou. Basically sounds like a millennial grad student who's never worked a real day in their life.
