I see your point and respect that. I actually wasn’t saying we all need to unite as in all fast on the same day. Rather, unite in the sense of respecting different opinions on the matter. A large number of Islamic organizations around the world last night did say Eid was Tuesday, just as a large number said it was Wednesday. I personally know and have known for years one of the sheikhs on a determination board in my city and from what I’ve consistently seen of him, he seems like a God-fearing man who tries to follow the best available evidence on every situation. What I’m saying basically is let’s not automatically villianize other sides. Many scholarly organizations worldwide did not think it was a blatant lie or corruption so we should respect that.
