This is my mom too. She's also a Libra moon and she LOVES being pampered and having her nails done and being surrounded by beautiful things. My mom always says that she loves "things" because they bring her comfort. She is a person who loves the finer things in life and isn't afraid to go after them. She is also a Cancer sun who had a rough relationship with her own mom who was a Taurus sun. I see her love of comfort and being pampered as ways she tries to heal that pain. Another way I see that reflecting is she loves physical touch. As a kid she loved cuddling and hugging me and to this day we are a very demonstrative family in how we show affection.

Interesting to note on house placements, my own moon sign is Sagittarius and it falls barely into my 5th house. I am a Leo sun and have Pluto in Scorpio in my 4th house and I narrowly escaped being stuck with moon opposition or square Pluto in the 4th, along with my natal Pluto placement. I am so grateful to whatever stars I did NOT get burdened with Moon square or opposition Pluto. It would have been awful and I know this because I know my mothers shadow side. She's very controlling and inflexible with her ideas. As a child she had a very authoritarian parenting style with me, plus she was gone for work all day 5 days a week and my dad had a similar schedule. She got mad really easily over small things and I was terrified of her anger and rage when she let them out, usually on me or my dad.
