Moral Dilemma Involving Awful Roommates

So like. Full offense, but I worked at a shelter for more than 2 years. I advised multiple dogs be euthanized due to behavioral or health issues. I personally put a dog who had permanently maimed a volunteer in the crate to be taken to be out down. I begged for a dog to be put down after she was paralyzed and was obviously in pain. I begged for two dogs with terminal cancer to be put down when they began losing weight. Same with a poor dog dying of heart failure. Death was a relief for those dogs. But I also have a heart. I cried two days ago over a dog who spent his entire life in the shelter I worked and died of old age over a year ago. I know exactly what shelter medicine involves. I'm not stupid. But I only believe in euthanasia as a last resort. I worked with multiple "problem dogs," even some with aggressive behavioural problems, and only 2 of them ended up being unable to be saved. The rest thrived under love and proper discipline.

This dog in particular is not unhappy. If he were I would report them for his safety. He is not. At all. He is a puppy and has never known anything but this. He should not be put down because his owner is too selfish to not leave him here.

Tldr: thanks for your unwanted and ignorant opinion about my job choices when I already know I can handle it from experience. The dog is not unhappy at all. Therein lies my problem. I am not going to let a happy, good dog die for convenience.
