More LGBTQ Representation Is Coming to the MCU, Marvel’s Victoria Alonso Says

I don't think they know what genderfluidity even is, tbh. And the fact that they had the perfect opportunity to explore Loki's gender identity by casting a trans woman as Sylvie feels insane.

Sylvie has these very trans-coded moments (the whole "don't call me Loki" feeling like deadnaming) and it amounts to nothing.

I wouldn't even call the characters confirmed bisexuals. They call Loki "fluid" in this interview (too afraid to drop the B word). And though the whole bisexual flag lighting is nice, and I think the director is bisexual herself and she must've fought hard for that princess-or-prince line, it's all very easy to handwave.

Tony Stark gets to have a threesome in the first Iron Man, but LGBT characters have to jump through hoops just to be acknowledged. It's depressing, honestly.
