This year it's been subtle but relevant stuff with Giannis
His TS% went up from 60 to 64% which doesn't sound like a lot but it's meaningful 64% on his usage rate is wild.
Defensively he's always made baby steps. I remember Zach Harper 2 yrs ago had the perfect description of Giannis on that end "He's a really good defender without playing really good defense" What he meant was because of his physical tools(ie length) Giannis had such a large buffer and margin for error he could routinely make mental mistakes on D or initially get beat and just recover. Hed get away with it so hed still be effective overall. Now days he makes far fewer mistakes and doesn't even need to recover he's just in position.
