If my parents didn’t have money, I’d have partial dentures and being staring down full ones. I’m 33. But in my case it’s Sjögren’s Syndrome causing my tooth rot.

I’m super lucky to have found a dentist who has a method for using the shell of the roots as the base to build fake teeth from- all of my molars are over 1/3 filling, several are 4/5 filling, and 4 have been removed and rebuilt using this method. They remove everything to the gun line, do a complete root canal, plant posts into the root cement, then build a nub on the posts. The nub becomes the anchor for a custom milled crown. They 3D scan the tooth before removing it and 3D scan the empty spot to come up with the best shape replacement possible. But it’s $3,000-5,000 per tooth. So yeah, ouch!

I’ve also thankfully found a MUCH better saliva drug, cevilemene, so my tooth rot has slowed significantly.
