Mormon Happiness vs Every Other Type of Happiness

How is "it is a mystery" any different from "that will be worked out on the other side" ?

I have a somewhat non-traditional family that has left me with a lot of questions about sealings and such.

I have child from a previous marriage. My ex is not a member of the church, and forbids my child to be baptized. My current wife is sealed to her deceased husband and their children.

Can my wife and I be sealed without having her first sealing cancelled?

Will cancelling that sealing cancel the deceased husband's sealing to his chrildren?

If my wife and I have children, who will they be sealed to? As of right now, my wife and her first husband. Is there anyway that I can be sealed to my child without cancelling his sealing?

IF my daughter were to ever be baptized, could be we sealed together without my ex an I being sealed. If I thought any of this were true, I would like to be sealed to my child, but not to my ex.

I've asked a lot of people about these situations. From Sunday School teachers, to bishops, to Stake Patriarchs (my FIL), to Stake leadership.

I always receive the same answer. "That will be worked out on the other side".

And I can totally understand why they would say that. Because they can't exclude anyone. No one wants to come down with a hard and fast rule. Because if they do, it will turn someone off to that piece of doctrine. It's a zero sum game. According to Mormon Doctrine, there is absolutely no way for my wife and I to be sealed, whilst her first husband retains his sealing to his children. There is no way for me to be sealed to any potential future children without cancelling those sealings. I can't be sealed to my child without also being sealed to my first wife (which I have no desire in). There is no "everyone wins" scenario. Its zero sum, and no one wants to admit it because they might "offend" me, turn me off to the gospel. So instead I get "We don't have a perfect understanding of the gospel".

Well, you know what? If you are going to go around saying that you are the only church on the face of the Earth with modern day prophets, who are direct mouthpieces of God, perhaps we could get a clarification on the rules. Maybe we could focus on prophesy and revelation, rather than building malls and condos.
