This morning in Hyde Park

yeah, one for Pemulwuy. I have no problem with that as it shows both sides of the early days of settlement.

Its times like this that people have a right to hate whitey, not too self aware in some cases.

No he wont accept a statue in exchange for the land and all the animals now gone from that place. No bribe. Not materialistic and vain, doesn't understand the need for statues when all the stones have been broken to create these childish monuments.

Which is how they lived their life. Sadly, some people have no respect.

My point was that a statue helps politics not Pemulwuy. A statue would insert Pemulwuy into the culture that is dominant now.

Yes. It helps our politics by making white people feel better about the savage nature of their ancestors that carved out a life for them. You need something to feel better because you are here, due to their actions.

Would it have been better in your opinion if they never did the things they did? careful what you answer here because if you say no then what makes you so sure you would be here to answer such a question? Remember the world hasn't always been this weak, you would have gotten rolled over by the next group that comes through motivated... the same way its being attempted now except it might have been with axes and clubs instead of with words.
