This morning's climate protestors in Brisbane have glued themselves into a sail boat parked in a busy intersection

See, I'm kind of convinced that all protesting in this form does is force the government to make changes to law that will negatively effect the local community. The government literally wont stop until there are police with automatic weapons on every corner searching everyone in the valley on a fri and sat night in some dystopian sub tropical social wasteland. Give them a bit of a fright, and expect the full wrath of a militarised police force and citizens being put in prison for simply being a bystander at any gathering in the CBD.
We as consumers have the power. We can literally change industries by being smart with our purchases. Which in result, if organised properly, would create further opportunities for things like regenerative agriculture and permaculture. Which then leads to healthier lands and healthier humans. Protesting is questionable when it comes to being proactive in a country such as ours. There is more opportunity to make change with proper cooping, grass roots hard work, education and hands on approach because luckily enough we have the means to do so. There are already movements happening that are already in the market, sign up to them instead. If the powers that be aren't accepting they need to change, we need to force them by manipulating their means and creating our own eco markets and industries.
