Moronic Monday - Your weekly stupid questions thread

I get this a lot, and I know you're not trying to be a jerk or anything. Every time I go to the doctor they do this as well - "there must be something wrong with your diet and exercise." I explain that I'm active every day, 5 of the 7 breaking a sweat for 1-3 hours. I eat right, watch my calories, etc. There's disbelief and the classic - "we'll see after your blood tests." Then the tests come back. Excellent cholesterol, excellent glucose, average to great on everything else. BP is great. My energy levels are awesome, most friends think I'm the energizer bunny. And then the doctor sheepishly explains that "whatever new thing you're doing is working" and I just have to say "nothing new."

I'm not saying you aren't wrong that I could probably cut my caloric intake down to 1000-1500 a day. I'm saying that manipulating my body in that way isn't worth it, especially when every single test except for "whats your height to weight ratio" says I'm healthy as hell.
