Moronic Monday (Aug 29 2016) - Your weekly questions thread!

Pros: - Mods You can mod your phone to your liking, you can install custom verisons of android on there that have features that stock doesnt have - Apps You can install apps that block ads on other apps, and ads on youtube. there are apps that make it possiable to mod the Doze feature also, change it to your liking. - Cpu If your a freak about battery, you can underclock your phone to shave a little but off of your battery (I never saw a difference)

Cons:

  • Mods

The custom versions also come with many bugs, these are unofficial builds with features that are not perfect, these custom OS's will also not work with all your apps and your phone will probably restart and not work right

  • Apps If you ask me, ad blocking app are kinda a scummy thing, at least for some Devs, if you like the app, just buy it, its only like 1 dollar.

and again with these apps, your modding system settings, you run the risk of crashes and random reboots

  • CPU

this can mess up alot of stuff if you dont know what your doing, it also will cause random reboots and random FC's

point being, if you really wanna root, just read about it, and see if its good for you, if your the type that needs a reliable phone 24/7, I suggest not, if you like playing around with stuff then go for it.

just remember that app your apps and everything are made to run on a non rooted phone with no mods, so if you get a app and its running weird, its probably because of some of the mods you have.
