Mosin nagant worth it?

As an investment one could maybe justify it, but as a quality rifle, no. A Swiss K11 or (if money allows it) a K31 would be better investment on top of being a much more accurate, reliable and quality rifle. Not only are Mosin actions worse, the rifles can be quite beaten up and later war rifles are very quickly put together. The Mosin made sense when surplus was much cheaper and the rifle cost around $200 or less. WW2 Mauser rifles are generally better, but the prices have gone through the roof on them and later war production models also suffer. You could look for a vz 24 (Czech WW2 Mauser). Supply is low for vz 24s, but their prices haven't exploded yet despite it being one of the better Mauser variants, even the SS continued production after Czechia became a protectorate and they issued many Czech Mauser's to their units.
