Most Americans think other accents are cool (Irish, British, Australian, etc), but what does the rest of the world think about an American accent?

I'm a North Queenslander "Australian", and the days of worrying about accents is over. Communications were destroyed absolutely by the mobile phone "Cell Phone". Some idiots even talk in text format, for example: Saying LOL

American "USA" Citizens aren't a problem, they just talk an old form of Irish, which has been slowed down.

Irish is meant to be spoken fast, so when Americans talk Irish they drag out the "R" and say "YERRR" instead "Yes" etc.

New York locals say "RUFF" instead of "ROOF", and so on. But here in Australia we have spent the past 60 years watching Australian, British and American Television, and since our own actors put on American accents in American made movies; then it is actually the Australian English which now comes across to ourselves as obvious and different. "Gudday mate, whadda ya up to?" Which is how we talk to each other without noticing.

It's a little hard to explain, but don't really notice Americans talking when I'm watching TV, but I do notice if an Australian actor suddenly appears in an American movie. And I believe this has a lot to do with the different way we talk here in Australia from State / Territory to State / Territory.

Remember Paul Hogan in the movies Crocodile Dundee, well he doesn't talk like North Queensland and North Territory Australians, he talks like a "Sydney Australia", they tend to pretend to talk Australian, it is very weird and another reason we don't like the South here in the North. We call them Cockroaches and even Mexicans, just like the USA you refer to Mexicans as invaders from the South.

Although due to the location of our Countries, the Northern Australian climate is closer to your Southern USA climate, hence; we too are very racist here in North Queensland, but not against black, against other Australians. Haahahah

For example: North Queenslanders like myself speak the truest form of real Australian, anywhere south of here they say "Plarnt" instead of "Plant", and Frarnce instead of France etc. We pronounce very similar to the USA here in North Queensland, but we write and spell in proper old English. Southerns are placed down a year/grade at primary (Elementary) school when they emigrate to Queensland. This is because they don't write correct English cursive characters down south. And this also means most of the children from the south end up with younger Queensland friends, and then those city born southerners peer pressure us country kids into committing crimes and abusing city drugs, like heroin. Here in the North we always just drank beer and our own rum and maybe smoked some cannabis, but the South have infiltrated us with their greed and poor manners.

Americans don't pronounce "U" properly, you say "OO" instead of "YOU", we say "EEM YOU" for "EMU" but the USA say "EMOO", and you say "STOOPID" instead of "STEW PID", for Stupid.

The silly part of all of this is many younger Australians who have grown up watching American TV; now also say and spell "STUPID" as "STOOPID", which makes them "STUPID" (STEW PID) for not understanding the difference, how ironic?

South Australians are insane to listen to, they try so hard to sound British, that they actually sound British, hence; We don't like Southerners in Northern Australia (We don't like fake anything", we are real and will happily bash anyone trying to reintroduce snobbery into our lifestyle) Most of us here didn't wear shoes until high school, and up until circa 1988 we used to get bashed by teachers and caned by Head Masters at our NAZI State Schools. And yes, they were NAZI, since Joh Bjelke Peterson "A new zealander" controlled the Police, Roads and Gambling as our Premier for over 20 years. He was found to be corrupt and kicked out of office. But my point was we were brought up under true Queen of England English here in North Queensland up until fairly recently. We are no under the Government of an North Queensland born daughter of a Polish NAZI immigrant. And the State is now once again under Police Rule. Everything is illegal, and everyone is in jail.

We are once again attempting to split our State of Queensland into two "North and South Queensland". Here in the North we basically get all our resources money stolen by the Southern Federal and State Governments and we are left with no infrastructure funding. We average about 3 metres of rain here every year, and our roads still get cut off at Proserpine by a flood plain. This cuts off the entire North of Australia from the South because of 1KM of road. "The longest continuous stretch of Seal bitumen highway on Earth" Highway number 1 of Australia. Cut off at Proserpine because of yearly flood waters... We have bigger issues here than accents...Hahaah

Anyway, to answer your question, Australians don't only accept the USA form of English, we don't notice it, you are part of our lives and have been since the end of the Second World War. I'm about to leave my home here in Dysart to drive to Mackay for some training, to do this 500 KM round trip drive tomorrow, I am required to drive down a range which was actually made by the USA Army during the second World War. The Sarina Range Qeensland "Where I was born".

New Zealanders are the worst English speaking people on Earth, they actually mix up their vowels and are incomprehensible if they come from the North Island. They use "U" in place of most vowels and make no sense to anyone but themselves.

They also are very lazy and steal a lot and are hated here in Australia, in fact we accept all races, but no one like new zealanders, mostly because they refuse to change and now many Australians are starting to talk backward like new zealanders "Kiwis".

Don't worry, Americans are fine, your English doesn't make you sound stupid nor uneducated as does British "POMMY" and New Zealander, it just makes you all sound a little annoying when you talk too slow. "Speed it up"

Barbra Streisand

Now this lady can't talk and sing, and I could listen to her sexy New York slang all day long, because when Americans women talk a little faster, they sound beautiful. "Just drop the rrrrrrr, drop the slow Irish"
