But let’s not forget the $20K tax I pay, the full Medicare Levi, the full-priced doctors, medication, and transport I pay. Not to mention the $45K education debt I put myself in to get the job I have now. Plus I invest in property which I get slammed for in rates, insurance, stamp duty and capital gains at every turn. My net earnings are probably no higher than my fat, unemployed neighbour - but my future is much brighter.

The poor might hate me and what I have but without people like me working my ass off the poor sure as shit wouldn’t have their Netflix, NBN, iPhone X, 60” flat screen, and a concession card for everything.
