Most capital cities are well off, but London is like another country

People outside of London don’t tend to visit London except for a very occasional trip.

Just think about the majority of British films set in modern London. You’d think everyone, even the fruit seller at the market, lived in gigantic Georgian town houses.

People will argue that their view of London is realistic and based on reality but the truth is most of them visit central once in a blue moon as tourists and haven’t the foggiest idea of what living in London is actually like.

Just look at the argument in this thread about ‘easy access’ to all the ‘free’ stuff in London. Completely and utterly cut off from the realities of deprived communities in London, they’ve no idea.
