People don't donate to cancer treatment. I mean, they might, but that's not what I'm talking about, so your argument is invalid.

People donate to RESEARCH for those illnesses. I'm pretty sure your magical Healthcare isn't curing cancer at a rate better than ours. Those illnesses still need a ton of research for cures.

What's your point in you not seeing people asking for donates rather than gifts? I didn't say people in other countries did it, and I don't see how that's a negative thing.

My grandfather was part of several community groups, so that's where people donated. My grandmother passed from alzheimers, so people donated to the Alzheimers Association.

What you are talking about is "gofundme". That's not the charity type I'm talking about, so this entire discussion is pointless.
