Thank you for posting this. I grew up in an abusive and violent household. I could honestly give a rats ass about a career of 6 figures. I genuinely just want peace and stability with a small one story house. I’m okay working in school districts or medical industry with my tech degree. This life chewed me tf up and pandemic made me really think about getting a degree in an industry that interests me while providing great skills for the future.

Personally, I have goals of stability in life over luxury. Anything outside of work is to learn stuff I enjoy, and helping and finding my own community to fulfill me emotionally, not financially. I still want to work hard and constantly learn in the industry but I am not about overwork myself to exhaustion for a company at the expense of my own well being.
