Most of us have had to fake a smile at some point. When was a time you had to fake getting angry or upset?

I work in a 911/Police dispatch center.

I can not stand when a caller will constantly call back every two minutes screaming that I need to do my job after the first initial call for an ambulance over a minor ailment like a sore throat or a broken finger. We only have a certain amount of ambulances catered to each city so of course major emergencies (heart attack, unresponsive) come first but even then the other call would still have responders within 20 minutes. It’s even worse on public service calls especially with the frequent flyers thinking we should know their address by heart. I’ve lost count on how many times new hires have cried after taking information down for a call from a regular. They are always super demanding yet refuse to give key information and so hateful. Don’t even get me started on how many times I’ve been told by said caller that they could do a better job than me and my coworkers. Seven years of doing this and luckily I’ve kept my cool.
