I had 2 intense moments in the last couple of game days.

I finally figured how to get to the prison island. I drove a V3S into the water and drove underwater to about 50 ft from the island shore then got out and swam the last distance (a non-fixed game glitch?). I was fairly geared up (but with no military weapons). I spent several hours exploring the island on a low pop server. I was about to log off to take a break when I ran to the jail. Doors were shut. Opened them and ran in to discover the 1st floor cell door was open. I quickly ran out to a hidden vantage point and watched. Not even 5 seconds later, a fully geared player with an M4 runs out of the jail. Looks around and then sprints to the prison main building. My heart was racing so fast that I thought it might explode. I thought that was my excitement peak for the day, but it wasn't.

Later that day I logged back in to behind the storage building next to the military barracks. It was a server with a population of 1. Waited my 59 seconds and as my vision started up (not yet able to move), another player was spawning in right next to me. I must have been about 2 seconds ahead of him because I was able to draw and point my rifle at him before he could do the same. He danced around a bit to get past me and ran away. I had no desire to shoot him, but was too nervous and surprised to say anything over my mic. After verifying I had everything in my waterproof bag, I peaked around the corner towards the barracks and there he was standing about 50 feet away looking in my direction. Tried to draw my rifle up, but BAM! He got me. I guess I was too trusting.

Maybe it was my time to go. Had done all the island exploring I wanted and was trying to figure out a way to return to the mainland. Got that achieved thru a new spawn. Que sera sera. I have to chalk these events up to experience and be more careful next time.
