Do you think most men are physically unattractive?

For me, personally, I think most men are physically attractive in one way or another, but I also think that it's an interesting question that I don't really have a concrete answer to because it's so heavily based in what our culture values from men and women. I would definitely say that there is much more variance in what is considered physically attractive in men, at least in my perception. I don't think either gender is inherently more attractive than the other, but our culture certainly shapes expectations.

Consider how our culture treats male nudity: it's generally seen in movies as a joke or something to be disgusted by. The male body is comedic, the female body is desirable. That always made me incredibly angry because I love male bodies. Even if they wouldn't make the cover of Men's Health, I think male bodies are inherently more attractive than female bodies because there are fewer ways that male bodies can "go wrong" (for lack of a better phrase.) The fat distribution of male bodies is more uniform and less "lumpy," gravity isn't as harsh, cellulite is rarer and the increased muscle tone leads to more firmness, even in overweight men. Not that women's bodies can't be beautiful, because obviously they can and are, but there's more margin of error in male bodies. Our culture tends to value just one type of female body and value it for its aesthetics alone, whereas male bodies are valued for what they can do physically and the aesthetics are generally an afterthought.

As has been mentioned time and again, we just don't have the same expectations for men as we do for women. But, that doesn't mean that men aren't physically attractive, just that our culture tends to see that physical attractiveness as secondary to other traits.
