Do most still think it was appropriate for the producers to call the police when David and Jenelle took to Jace to a nearby hotel during the reunion taping?

You're right, nowadays laws have become a lot more strict. But unfortunately children still slip though the cracks.

My parents went through a very volatile divorce. My dad had to have supervised visitation with my brothers (I am 10 years older than my brothers). In the beginning my dad could not cope with the divorce and began to say alarming things to my mother like about how he will take "the boys" one day away from her. My brothers attended a private christian school, and they did not like my mom because she was a soon-to-be divorced woman (they never met my dad). Yes, they said it to her face they did not support her getting a divorce. After my dads remarks, my mom brought a picture of my father and court documents to the school to warn them that if he showed up they were to call the police asap. Long story short, a week later, my dad took my brothers out EARLY from school. It was absolutely traumatizing, as their older sister, to arrive to the school and my brothers not be there...for hours! It was one of the worst days of my life. This was around 2010, and things have calmed down now for sure, and everybody has moved on from the divorce, but I will never move on from that.
