Okay. I'm not saying that nobody does it for themselves. But it is possible to not realize why you're doing something subconsciously. Like if you were the only person in the world, would you still care about looking good? Maybe you would, maybe not. In any case, you're the exception not the rule.

And you say "more" professional - right there you just compared yourself to others. And it probably makes you feel more confident because you it makes you look good, like the other women that you think look good and better than the ones you don't think look good. I don't think you would care to look good if everyone in the world dressed in shitty torn clothes and had no sense of fashion. Maybe you would but I really, really doubt it.
